Beaches, lakes, mountains, forests…even though we didn’t find it as spectacular as other american national parks, the Olympics have a very diverse and unique landscape with plenty of opportunities to enjoy the nature, from trail running to lake diving and barbecuing, if that’s a thing.
Not having a proper house has it’s big disadvantages, such as not having a nice table to sit around and have dinner, but we always end up finding our nice little spots of beautiful intimacy.
After the Olympics we headed to Seattle via ferry, a city that welcomed us with great weather, cafés, cinemas and breweries. After all, we also need our dose of civilization every once in a while.
A little bit tired of traveling, we decided to spend our last three or four days before heading to Canada in Anacortes, a little town better known for being the ferry port to the San Juan Islands. It’s a quiet and relaxed fishing village, where we spent the time working, relaxing and making us clean and comfortable, even with the limitations of living in a van.
