After a lot of preparations we finally started our new life on June 1st. From now on we’ll be living in our custom camper van and traveling around America (hopefully North, Central and South).
Going north was the obvious direction to start. With this lifestyle change we are seeking nature, solitude and the opportunity to explore unbeaten paths and towns, to meet interesting people. We found all of this just at the doors of San Francisco, the city we’ve been calling home for the last couple of years. Sonoma’s Healdsburg is a nice little town filled with vineyards, lakes, music and happy people.
After a couple days we kept driving north. Giant trees, flirting lights and elusive bears are some of the things we saw in Redwoods National Park. Making us feel small and humble exploring these forests.

We wanted to round up our first week with something memorable, and the summit of Mt Shasta, a 14179ft (4322m) really prominent volcano, seemed like a great goal to aim.
The climb was hard, intense and rewarding. The outcomes a bit disastrous. Victor got his eyes burnt and Eva all the skin around her nose.
With a lot of respect for the mountains we finished the week resting around Mt Shasta beautiful landscape while our wounds recover and we get ready for the next adventure.
