Chiapas is the last state that we visited in Mexico. After that, we drove all the way back to San Francisco in order to sell our van. We started the day with a boat through Cañon del Sumidero, with this spectacular walls. We we were able to see some crocodiles on the way...
Once in San Cristobal de las Casas we went to a carpenter in order to fix some things in the van. As soon as we knew we wanted to sell it, we wanted to deliver it to the new owner in the best conditions! We finally changed one of the big pieces of the floor.
Yaxchilan are one of the most beautiful ruins that we have visited, as it is hidden in the middle of the jungle and surrounded by a river. A little boat takes you through the river that divides Mexico from Guatemala to the Yaxchilan ruins.
Traveling Mexico from one side to the other gave us a good idea of this big country, understanding the different cultures, people, food and landscapes of each region. But everything comes to an end, and it was time to drive north, back to San Francisco, where we sold our van and we flew to our beloved Barcelona. We drove 4.500km back to San Francisco!
