Entering Canada, from Vancouver to Vancouver Island

After several weeks driving north through California, Oregon and Washington we finally entered Canada on one of it’s most beautiful provinces: British Columbia.

Our first stop was Vancouver, and we were gratefully surprised by their nudity friendly beaches with beautiful sunsets on the Pacific Ocean.

For the first time since we started our trip, we had friends visiting from home. Cris and Agus came all the way from Barcelona to spend some days with us, sharing the little space we have left in our van. We made the short drive north from Vancouver to the Garibaldi Provincial Park.

What a beautiful hike! We went all the way up to Black Tusk, a dark and impressive volcanic monolith, and had everything on the way: forests, alpine landscapes, lakes, ridges, rocks, deers and bears.

We took some time on our way down to pick up blueberries…so many and so sweet!

We stopped to have lunch near Garibaldi Lake, swam in it’s frigid and impressive blue waters.

The ferry took us to Vancouver Island where we spent a week exploring, hiking and surfing. A great place to catch up with friends and relax.

After some days packed with laughs, conversations and beers with friends, we gave farewell to Cris and Agus and prepared to drive east for our next adventure.
