On the long weekend of the 4th of July, we finally had 3 days to do what we love most: spending time in the nature. We were in Seattle’s REI buying some gear and trying to find a nice route and a map when an old woman approached us: “do you need help? I know everything about the Cascades mountain range, and I can show you the most beautiful and uncrowded routes”. Sure!

The route started in a pine forest and climbed fast to reach the Pacific Crest Trail, which would take us to the base of Glacier Peak on a path along several lakes of deep blue color.
We spent the first night camping near a lake, watching the starts and trying not to die from fly bites that wouldn’t let us sleep at times. But it was worth the suffering.
After 60 kms of hiking we ended up our trip with a dive and sunset in Wenatchee Lake.
We liked the area so much that ended up spending a couple more days chilling around the lake and enjoying the chilled life in the mountains.
